Boris now out of ICU. I didn't wish harm on the guy but I'm no fan. I don't know if it was two "ER" doctors rather than a supposed planned approach to introduce "lockdown" in order to flatten the infection curve, to relieve pressure on hospitals. Still in lockdown which will surely be for many more weeks.
I think the UK (and other western countries) were slow to react at the start of this. We needed far more testing and far more tracking and tracing of infected people. South Korea and Taiwan set the standard for how to deal with this virus but then they've been there before and are ready and resourced to deal with it. The UK has spent 10 years underfunding the NHS and the chickens have come home to roost. Reactive rather than pro-active. Regards.
