'Harvesting' an '86 245 200 1986

Two years ago we bought a rusted out 85 244 for $400--used the left front clip to repair son's 240 diesel wagon, put the CD player in Mom's 240 v8, sold trunk lid and rear window to friend (tree limb fell on his), sold engine and trans to local volvo tech, sold battery, radiator, rear bumper, lights, wheels and tires, seats, etc. Even gave stuff away to some of the local high school kids (relays, etc.).

I think we made about 400+ on the deal. Probably could have made more but we were going for quick and cheap . . . and local (no shipping).

Like Corky said, you'll be amazed at what sells off these cars.

Good luck,

Steve A-
