Pull the timing belt cover to see whether it's round tooth or square tooth belt. Not a surefire way to verify, but most will not have bothered checking if it was an older engine swapped in.
Such said, I have seen some of these later 940s with the block mounted dizzy, and there are some folks who will go to the trouble of switching to such because it's a lot easier and cheaper for servicing.
