Hi! I couldn't wait till my oil change, so yesterday I stopped at a nearby station and tipped a guy to let me use the ramp. I think I identified correctly the wastegate rod (small and thin rod which connects to a diaphragm on the turbo body, flat rectangular end), but unfortunately, it seems to be attached correctly! I couldn't touch it or even get my hand nearby, as the heat was incredible. I didn't see this rod move when the car was revved in park, should it have? I checked the hoses going to the turbo and they seem ok. Any other idea on why my turbo gauge fails to go deep into the white zone? I understand that when accelerated hardly, it should climb to almost the 2:00 position. Help! Thanks in advance for your input!
