Erratic air con behavior arises from unable to activate compressor at times and air con was not cold. Change compressor and refill gas as well as resoldering the air con unit. For the first 3 days it was OK. But this morning while travelling along highway, the air con wasn't producing cool air. Suspect the compressor stopped again so turned off and waited for 5 minutes before switching the air con. Again working cool air but alway not as cold as before. Still lost. Anyone can give a clue as I will be going to the mechanics again the next few days. Should I look into the coil and if there a thermostat for air con.

Are the pressure switches working? I had a similar experience, only to find that one of the connectors to a pressure switch on the accumulator was broken and sending a faulty, intermitent signal.

Tks Tks Steve. You got it spot on. After changing low pressure switch and resolder the a/c control unit with no success, I decided to park the car at the aircon shop. Tried a few times over the next 30 mins until the time the compressor was not cycling. The electrician immediately checked and discover no current supply to the compressor. It was discovered that a wire to the compressor below the compressor was loose and not visible. Finally, it is now fixed. Once again, thank you for highlighting possible wire issue.

Steve, I tend to agree with you. All items have been changed, Only the pressure switch and presstotat have not been attended. Can you help. Mine the fan is working all the time except compressor is being cut off or fail to activate ocassionally. So do you know which pressure switch should I change? If I am not wrong, there are 3 pressure switches. Also what is presstotat. I have no idea.
