Diesel pressure relief valve - question 700 1986

Emergency relief valve should the wastegate fail to open it will open itself and allow the intake pressure to vent at the same time turns on a warning light on the dashboard when the pressure exceeds 11-12 PSI pressure.
Consider it a civilized version of a Blow Off Valve used by the ricers in the turbo'd hondas who stab the throttle to build boost only to quickly close the throttle again to make the valve pop open hence the name "BOV Salute" along with the 4-corner nitrous purges and multi-colored lights. Nailed enough Red-Rock Road racers to know the cars and drivers by name and number of citations!
