122 Heater control valve 120-130

Hey all,

I have combed the archives and found that a is/was available at Napa to repair heater control valves. Looks like the thread is from 2004, anyone bought this kit lately? I tried at my local Napa and the brain-trust behind the counter had never heard of such a thing and couldn't find one on his computer or print catalog.

My control valve is leaking into the passenger compartment at a slow rate, but I'd like to fix it before it starts to leak at a fast rate :) I also have very little, if any, control over the heat(on or off).

Alternative suggestions to Napa are also welcomed and highly encouraged.

Thanks.

Got the part! Seems that this isn't something that is normally stocked at my local Napa, but can be ordered. It just so happened that another customer had ordered this part and there were some left over. Hardest part of the whole thing was the unbending and bending of the tabs that hold the main valve body in place. The included instructions we pretty good. Since I was taking my own sweet time, the whole thing took me a bit over an hour to complete. Drips in the cabin be gone :)

I had the same problem with one of my 122s; the local parts store had a catlog of heater valves and other heating/cooling parts(with photos). I picked one without too much trouble, but the choice between push-to-open and pull-to-open was important.
