Correct tires for 1973 145E 140-160

Al,

I have also used 195-75x15 on my 220, 144 and 145 on stock rims without rubbing issues. I prefer the taller look and find the speedometer to be quite accurate with them based on roadside radar and highway mileage markers (not the best test but it's all I have). There is more bulging earlier rim, but I haven't found it to compromise handling in my driving. Definately looks better on the later 140 rim IMO.

The only brand / model in that size that I have been able to find has been Cooper Trendsetter. Online searches have yielded nothing but my local tire shop seems to have no problem getting them. I'm sure they are not the best tire out there, but they give good year round performance and I get about 45,000 miles out of them.

Good luck in your search.
