There is a ton of great advice on seat repair. Definetely plan on reinforcing the foam with thin carpet or such. I find the polyurethane glue works good to glue torn foam and the 3M 77 works better for gluing the carpet to the foam. The frames do like to crack from metal fatigue. I just finished rebuilding a set and the drivers side seat frame was cracked in 4 places. Almost missed it so look closely. I also tried something different on this set by adding an additional set of springs in addition to the lower set to support the foam in the metal of the frame rail. Another modification was to do away with the driver side height adjusters and modify the frame to allow for a 1" lower position then stock.
