Jacking Points and Jack Stands 200

The jacking points are for the factory jack that has a slot in it. You can also use you own jack there but you really need to figure out what you are going to work on as to where you place the jack and stands. If you are doing work under the front of the car then place the stands in the area of the front support beam just a few inches into the lower wheel arms. In this area you will have good support and lift the wheels along with the body for added clearance. If you are working on the steering or suspension then keep the stands on the front support beam only, this gives the wheels freedom of movement. Use the jack in the center of the beam. You can apply the same principal to the rear. Keep the stands on the rear frame area for working on the differential and suspension. Place the stands on the differential if working on brakes or other parts that do not require free movement. Use the jack in the center of the differential if you have clearance. BUT ABOVE ALL USE JACK STANDS ALWAYS.
