Strange lights 200

Volvo connected many dash lights to the BAT light to make them come on before starting so that the driver can verify that they work. Other manufaturers sometimes use a separate terminal of the ignition switch to make those lights come on in start position.

You've already figured out what happens when the BAT light comes on for charging failure.

By the way, those things used to stop the car are brakes, not breaks.
