Your car has a an M cam from the factory with no over lap which is excellent for low end torque and terrible top end. Unfortunately this is the best cam for low end. Otherwise you might want to try changing cam timing.
After 82 or 83 all NA 240/740/940 have the same M cam. Turbos have T cam which is useless in an NA car. The only cam you are likely to find in a junkyard that would be an upgrade is the B cam. This can be found on early 240s equipped with a B21 engine. This cam has about 2mm more lift and about 10 degrees of overlap from what i remember. This cam with create more power at top with a slight drop down low. You can play with cam timing in order to move the power band around.
Cams are identified by the marking on the back end of the cam not part numbers. This is a B cam.
