Crankshaft Seal Tool CHEAP from SPX 700

After botching a crankshaft seal replacement, I thought I'd see how much SPX wanted for the Volvo Tool to put it in. I was surprised when they said it was $26.87 when I see aftermarket knock offs for $50+ . I think it is either a pricing error or maybe they're clearing them out. I made them check to make sure it is the right item.


The tool is 9995283 The operator will call it a drift the phone number is 1.800.345.3399 and website is http://volvocars.spx.com/#

They wanted $55 for the camshaft seal tool but I seemed to do OK installing those with PVC.

I also discovered in one of my green factory manuals that the tool has a scribe on it. If the crankshaft is clean and smooth insert the seal flush with the flange. If not insert the seal so the scribe mark is flush with the flange. They don't show it in the picture but one uses the crankshaft bolt and washer to drive the seal in.
