Hi Bob,

I have the same questions as Lucid, but I thought you might benefit from the first two or three diagnostic steps I took not too long ago toward pinpointing the real cause of the in-and-out behavior in my 84's OD with similar mileage as your 86.

The steps I'm talking about are those that confirm the solenoid is electrically sound or not. Don't mess with it to the length I did - I was just curious about its insides.
