Replacement end links don't fit 900 1994

Upgrading to IPD swaybars purchased via auction site. I purchased replacement end links after twisting off one during the installation of the bars. The replacements from FCP Groton arrived but the lower bushing ID is too small for the bolt to pass through. It measures somthing like .43 inches ID and the bolt is somthing like .46 inches. Should the bushing be bored out for the bolt or should the bolt "cut " its way through? I tried searching the archives w/o any luck.
Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

    Replacement end links don't fit 900 1994

I have done this job on both of our 960 wagons. If yours is like those, then the end link is the type with the eyelet on the bottom.

I don't remember that bolt being anything special like a shoulder bolt or anything. The diameter you cite (0.46 inch) would equate to about 11.7mm, and the ID you cite on the new eyelet (0.43 inch) would equate to 10.9mm. I think that 11mm would be a weird size, and I don't remember the bolt being as large as a 12mm.

Is it possible that the bolt is a 10mm with some crud caked on it, or possibly that the metal bushing from the eyelet has been twisted out of the rubber and is stuck on the bolt? If so, then you can work it off with pentrating oil, vise grips and a wrench or something. If you're seeing a part on the shank under the head that is fatter than the treaded portion of the bolt then that's what it is.

If you have to replace the bolt, it may be a proof strength bolt, and you would need a replacement that was of the sasme grade.
