I believe he is referring to a separate measurement... toe-out in turns. On that subject, the shop manual for the 544 indicates that toe-out should be 22 degrees, plus or minus 1 degree, when the opposite wheel is turned in 20 degrees. This is checked after camber, caster, and toe-in are adjusted. There is no way to adjust toe-out; if it is not in spec, you must replace parts. When you check toe-out, you're essentially checking for bent or damaged parts like steering rods or steering knuckles.
