Manual Transmission Mount 200 1986

You should be able to take the crossmember with the transmission support out and then replace the mount. I did this with my 82 240 4sp OD and it worked quite well. I did have to support the transmission with a jack while I took out the crossmemeber. There should be only four bolts holding the crossmember in place.

This is not a difficult job to do as long as you have a jack that can support the transmission to allow for the removal of the crossmember.

The crossmember is a little more difficult to get back in with a new mount as the mount will have to be compressed some to get the crossmemeber back into place.

Longer bolts make it easier to get the bolts started and then when the cross member is close to being in position then the longer bolts can be taken out(one at a time) and the regular ones put back into place.
