Turbo charging a 760 GLE (PRV-6 B280F) 700 1988

If you're really set on spending a lot of time and money to make this happen, there are bolt-on solutions to make a turbocharged B280 engine. Renault and Peugeot were in the joint venture to build the PRV-6 engines (B27/B28/B280) along with Volvo, -and Renault did have a small number of turbocharged PRV-6 engines that made it onto the roadways. Off the top of my head, I the Renault Alpina and possibly one other had a turbo option, and the Eagle Premier also used a variant of B280 (which may also have had a turbo at one point). There are a few people out there that have built up a twin-turbo B280 and one of them is stateside and posts over on TurboBricks.

If you'd rather save a lot of time and money, the B230FT turbocharged 4-cylinder that was available in the 740/760/780/940 cars is a much easier engine to maintain and work on. -not to mention much cheaper and with an abundant supply of new and used parts available.

God bless,
Fitz Fitzgerald.
