240 Clutch releasing near end of stroke

I have a 1984 240 with 4spd. Clutch would release near bottom of stroke. Cable was adjusted near end of adjustment range, so replaced with new Sachs cable, thinking it had stressed. Both cables appeared to be same length & new cable made no improvement in getting clutch to release closer to the top of paddle stroke. Next tryed replacing with new Sachs disc, pressure plate & release bearing. Only slight improvement in getting clutch to release sooner & once again cable needed to be tightened near end of adjustment to get recommended paddle play & for clutch to release. The only variable left that I can see, is maybe the clutch yoke is bent.
Any thoughts?

240 Clutch releasing near end of stroke

HI!
Have you checked the clutchfork, is it straight and replacement in the clutchhousing ok? We have seen many cars, which fork has "giving up", especially if the car has used towing ex: heavy motorhomes. In Race cars, OEM- forks are too weak, must use a forged ones. Hope You find out the problem.
