Heat:
The adjustment is performed with the motor removed. You want to line up the independent "chains" (one per side, they pass over the same motor gear on opposite sides) by using a blade screwdriver to move the chain by its teeth. Upon reassembly you might have to re-center the roof at the point where the motor parks when closed (for instance, the motor might think it's closed, but the roof is actually still slightly open). If you get the roof exactly closed by manually moving the "chains" or fine-tuning it using the motor and trial and error, you can then remove the motor again, cycle it normally with the dash button to "open" then "closed", and reattach the motor and everything should work properly.
It's a good idea, while you're in there, to lube the chains with something like white lithium grease.
Sorry about the long-winded reply. Once you're in there, the sunroof isn't actually as complicated as it seemed.
