Window Regulators 140-160 1970

Driver's window dropped away today; and found the regulator base to be, well, nonexistent. Unless you count the piles of rusted debris in the door frame.

Was curious if a 142 regulator w/ minivent was the same part as a 242/244 w/o minivent or alternatively a 144 with.

If so, I have some junkyards to hit. If not, musical cars followed by emails...

Many thanks in advance,
-Sean

Differant part for the 240/140 w/o vent window. It is however, the same on 144/142 doors with vent windows. It just gets put in a differant spot on the glass. I've had that problem too. I've sometimes rebuilt the regulator base for the window by bending up some sheetmetal and welding the old tabs to the new U-channel, then gluing the whole mess back onto the glass.

Nick,

Thanks for the rundown.Good to know. Welding this one isn't an option for me... and I missed a '71 at the junk yard... But there's a Bat-Phone I can call.

Hello Sean,

Can you send me a picture of your broken window regulator?

I probably have a good used one in stock.
