Why so harsh Lee? 200 1990

Wow,
I am a member of VCOA and I own a 1990 240 and an 2004 XC90. I, like the other forum posters also think that Ford is prostituting Volvo at every angle. The only reason I have the XC90 is because I have four kids. What else would I drive?- (it is the lesser of many evils.)

If you are the representative of the VCOA you should respect the will of the people. The negativity here is real and unsolicited. No one posts a message with the idea that Volvo will read this. Do you really think Volvo has time to sift through all of these pages- No. They listen to people like you (the voice of the Volvo people here in the USA).

Mercedes Benz has pushed the Classic Car Center with factory repairs and sales of classic Mercedes automobiles. Why not encourage Volvo/Ford to acknowledge the existence of the RWD Volvo subculture?

Ford is used to playing both sides of the fence- Look at Lincoln (Luxury) vs Ford (economy) or the gas guzzling V8 SUV's vs their enviro-friendly cars. They don't care- they just want to sell cars. That is why their company is in a huge downturn- they have no purpose. Now they are blending Volvo into that mix of homogeny. I thought the VCOA understood this. Otherwise, why would I join a club that would celebrate mediocrity and be scared to brave their own path. Should we all join the Nissan Sentra Club?
