So I get the following message from VLVworld about some back ordered parts today!

new option. You can have the wiring harnesses sent for $27.66.

If you have a PayPal account you can do a "send money" to service@vlvworld.com and we will send along the wiring harnesses which are included in the kit.

Now, when I initially ordered the euro side markers for the car, the website lsited them as coming with the wiring harnesses, which they didnt ship. Initially they said the parts were out of stock, and I could return it all and reorder when they had them all in stock. I didnt want to have to pay to ship the items back, and them pay again to ship the order to me complete, so I waited. Now they want me to pay to get the parts that I never got from them.

Am I the first unlucky one that has gotten, what feels like being screwed, by VLVworld.com?

has anyone done business with them before, and are they a decent vendor, or did I not do enough homework about them?

I'm going to post about this on a few boards and see what happens.

Any input would be great!

    I've always had good, responsive service from them. Disappointed to hear you can't get anyone on the phone, though. That used to be easy.

    That whole paypal thing sounds like one of those ebay-type scams ... are you sure it's vlvworld writing? why wouldn't they just take a credit card as usual?

    ugh, anyway, best of luck and let us know how it turns out.

    I have purchased from VLVworld in the past and was pleased by their service and parts. Their packaging methods are low cost and less glamorous than some of the other guys, but I've never been disappointed with their product. They seem to be true Volvo fans and proud of their general standing in the Volvo community.

    I am not discounting your experience, but I am hopeful that if you call them they will be able to alleviate some of your disappointement and straighten out the problem.

    If you have not talked to them (not e-mailed but talked in a person-to-person
    dialog) you should by all means do that first with THEM rather than with us!
    Although it has been a long time and I lived in Panama at the time, I have had
    some dealings with them and found them eager to please. Since French is their
    first language, misunderstandings and opportunities for misunderstandings are
    certainly always possible. One-to-one communications can often straighten
    things out a lot easier than heated e-mails.

      I did try calling but got the machine and all it says is to use email.

      Its not that its a lot of money, its just annoying that they would ask that I pay for it AGAIN!

        I have to believe it is a misunderstanding. I've bought (a while ago) two sets of those same turn signals from them and the wiring came with.

          I give up. Its not worth my time to get the parts that they promised me.

          Looks like VLVworld will never get my business again, and I'll make sure that everyone knows about this.

          The next step, does anyone have a diagram or better yet, a picture of the wiring harness, since I now need to make one to be able to use what amounts to useless lights for me.

          Well, looks like Im going to loose this one. They claim that they never offered to send me the parts which were "backordered"

          I really dont feel like dealing with the BS of trying to reverse the charges. Lesson learned. never do business with VLVworld.

          So the next step, does anyone have a picture of the wiring harness, since Im going to have to make them myself or not be able to use the side marker lights!
