Figure out if it comes from the front or rear. One way I do this is to drive beside a long solid wall, like the back wall of a Wal-Mart, or such.

Windows down and a helper and you with heads close to out of the window. Do in both directions, getting like 3 ft from the wall.

Is there a difference in straight vs cornering?
Acceleration vs coast vs deceleration vs braking?

With the gear, inclugins overdrive?
