ANSWER Synthetic Oil - Flame Trap 200 1989

Still need the flame trap, synthetic oil is just as flammable as conventional.

My flame trap has been spotless for over 100K, running just whatever-is-cheapest API SM oils.

Didn't Volvo stop using the flame trap on later white-blocks? Do intake manifold backfires no longer occur on modern FI setups?
