Sometimes the problem is mechanical rather than electrical. Sounds like there's resistance for the motor to push up the windows

I recalled a similar issue with my 740 rear windows. Turned out the motor gears and the tooth on the regulator was gummed up. In addition the window channel tracks needed some lubrication.
