bleeding brakes, want to do it right, special tool needed to force fluid, i don't want to ruin the master cylender pumping the brakes, where can i get it?/? 200

Hi Folks,
I have personally had the M/C die on me when I bled the brakes in a friend's car. On my car I now always change the fluid but in the past have had a rusty master cylinder in my own which wiped out the seals. I asked my friend has this been bled before and he said yes only last year, well the seals got shredded I took it apart to see when the familiar piston down to the floor happened.

With well maintained systems with the fluid changed every 12 or max 24 months it will not ever be a problem but in a neglected system, pump at your own risk. Nowadays based on the two bad experiences I have personally had I always pressure bleed. Interestingly the Volvo special tool shown in the green book is a compressed air vacuum bleeder not a pressure bleeder (they use the compressed air to generate a vacuum).
Regards,
Checkpoint Charlie
