Transition to Synthetic Oil 200

I'm going to switch to synthetic oil in two of our 240s, the 81 and the 93. Both have always had regular oil. The 93 has 160k and the 81 odometer says 125k but the car has more than that. Both are normally aspirated. Is it best to go with semi-synthetic for a while, then to full synthetic? Or should I jump straight to full synthetic? The reason I ask is that once a turbo rebuilder recommended the semi-synthetic first, then full synthetic, but I think his recommendation was based on the fact that, at the time, we were talking about a B23 Turbo. I'm curious if there is some advantage to going the step-by-step route even with a non-Turbo.

Also, how many miles between changes do you guys go when running synthetic?
