A friend just purchased a 1990 745 without cruise control.

I have a 1987 744T parts car with cruise control. Is this car's cruise control compatable with his 1990?

I think it is basically. The car is prewired for the cruise. There are the 8 pin and the 12 (something like that) pin ECUs. I think the difference is the fault diagnosis built into the latter. However, I have not worked through this all myself, this info is what I gather from Euro-bricksters who wanted cruise sets.
