I have what seems to be a slight surge or slip in my 95 960 when accelerating. When I accelerate, the car shifts gears, but seems to miss, go too high, and slip back down. This seems to happen at all accelerartion whether hot or cold.

Thought it might be an ecu, tps, or transmission software issue.

Fluid level is fine. In the sumer I did a complete flush of the trans fluid with new. This made a big difference, and the car runs fine except for the shift issues. Not sure what is causing this or how to fix.

In the comedy that is dealer service, the local dealer wants to replace the tranny for $6,000. My indy has not diagnosed the cause as yet, but the car runs fine, fluid colour and level are ok, just seems to take a minute to decide on the gear. Any ideas guys? The dealer is pissing me off.

Don't get pissed off 9, it won't do any good. Remember, what's good for the goose is good for the gander!!!

The transmission probably has a sluggish solenoid. There is nothing to do but kit it.

Better just leave those geese alone!!

Is there a solenoid kit? Where is the solenoid for the trans? Is it possible that the solnoid contacts can be cleaned and reseayed?
