hi folks,

I've a question about the four-speed auto in an 88 240 wagon: it doesn't seem to want to switch into the overdrive. We've gone through the solenoid and electrics - there's no question about the valve being open or closed when needed. The transmission shifts fine from the 1st to the 3rd, and stays there. I get about 3500 rpm at 75 mph.

Any suggestions or known common remedies?
