Have you checked the connector of the engine coolant temperature sensor? If during all the jostling of the service, the wire became ajar, a high idle would be the symptom.
It is a wise precaution to remove the engine from operation before detaching any engine control electric connections. The abrupt change of current flow has been known to damage computers.
You should readjust the throttle plate according to factory instruction as specified below.
