check engine light 200 1989

I would recommend checking the 740 FAQ for how to read the error codes, the connector is located behind the driver side strut tower under the hood. If performance didn't change, you will probably read a code that indicates running too rich or too lean (same code). If this is the case, the O2 sensor and fuel pressure regulator are highly suspect, along with a crack in the intake hose that runs from the throttle body to the AMM mounted on the DS strut tower. Vacuum leaks can cause it as well.

Once you read out the code(s), reply back and let us know what it is/they are.
