Brake line repair 1800

Howdy,

The hardlines are 3/16" steel/copper/zinc alloy available by the foot at almost any auto parts house. The fittings are SAE double flares in most cases but they MAY be metric and are certainly bubble flares at the calipers. You can buy ready made lines and cut one end off to make it into a bubble flare.

If necessary you can reuse your fittings unless the threads are damaged. Rent or buy a quality flaring tool; a cheap flaring tool will cause more grief than you can imagine. If you have not made brake lines before, practice on several pieces before you make "the" line to install. Be sure to deburr the flare; nothing will ruin your day like a leaking seat.

The rear hose is BECK/ARNLEY Part # 0731128. That number should cross at any parts house.

The front hoses depend on what year your car is and who made the calipers. Try any of the usual suspects or Google " 19** volvo 1800 brake hoses" (replace the asterisks with your year, of course) and see what comes back.
