More preventative maintenance! 700 1987

Hi again,

I'm being neurotic again! I have a few questions for you Volvo experts:

Number 1:
Reading the FAQ, I'm a little unclear about the power steering fluid change, using the turkey baster. Do you need to bleed after, regardless, or only when you're using the magnet?

Number 2:
I removed the differential fill bolt, with the intention of changing the fluid. However, when I removed the lowest bolt from the differential housing, it would not drain. The fluid looked great, and was at the proper level. What's the correct thing to do here? I have a new differential gasket if I need to remove the whole panel.

Number 3:
My u-joints in my driveshaft are on their way out, I think. They whistle when accelerating, and cause vibration at heavy load. Will running (for a month more) on funky u-joints cause any harm to other parts of my car, esp. the differential and tranny?

Thanks!

Ari
