140 flasher relay location 140-160

Hello,

If you need a replacement flasher relay, they are not hard to find.

If your flasher ever worked correctly than it had the right relay, so you should not throw it away until you have found your replacemnt.

On the underside of the relay there should be a letter for each of the 3 posts, possibly identified as "X", "P" and "L".

There are at least 2 flasher relays with the same arrangement of posts, but with different arrangements of the same 3 letters.

I have seen a correct flasher relay that had 1 letter that was different, but the letters for the 2 other posts were the same and it worked just fine.

There are mechanical and electronic flasher relays available, but the electronic ones are heavier and have a tendancy to fall out. This is also due to the fact that the male blades of the origianl relays were a little wider than both types of currently available relays.
