Its official! 30MPG two weeks in a row! 200 1992

Well, I'm stunned and amazed that an auto 245 could pull off 30MPG even with an 80/20 mix of freeway/city driving. For two weeks in a row, the car has pulled 330 miles out of 11 gallons of 87 octane! So, drivetrain wise, what is out of the ordinary on this car?

1: The rear differential is out of a manual car, so the engine runs a few 100 RPMS slower at speed.

2: Engine is bored 0.024" over has mild head port and intake polish, a VX cam (straight up), and a high flow cat and exhaust (no resonator). This is an LH3.1 car with a fresh AMM / O2 sensor and is currently running a stock EPROM/fuel map.

3: Engine has 20K on it and is running on 5W30 Castrol Syntec.

4: Stock AW70 with OD solenoid bypass, this is not a lockup converter trans.

5: 35PSI tire pressure in 205x50x16 Yoko ES-100 tires.

Finally, freeway speeds average in at 71MPH and the 20% city is stop and go to/from the center of downtown Raleigh to Knightdale.

Hope the above info is found to be helpful by other Bricksters, feel free to ask any questions! Please note, I never thought an auto 240 could ever hit 30MPG no matter what was done to it... and trust me, I'm NOT baby footing the go pedal!
