Nice pics!
That is exactly what happened to mine and yes apparently if you re-solder that connection it will work again, but it doesn't last it seems as that relay overheats. At least that's what some Volvo guys have told me, so I'm looking for a permanent solution/new relay.
BTW, Tasca has the whole controller brand new for $165, which I may do but don't want to spend the cash just now.
