Head light switch S90-V90

Had no headlights in the "on position, only DRL when in the off position. switch seemed loose, so I took off the fake wood bit and removed the switch to reset.
Problem is that the rocker arm assembly came apart. Basically there are 3 internal pieces, the base unit, the cam with two contact points which protrudes past the fake wood and a small plastic part containing a spring.
I assume that this makes the switch "click", but can anyone hazard a guess how to reassemble.
Thanks.
Dr. Chip

Plastic tabs that hold the switch together... yeah, mine did that, too.

I was adjusting the DRL switch, using a little screwdriver, when a "Push in and turn" movement became a "Push in and hear crunnch" problem. Back of the switch moved away = new switch. Had a little excitement on rural 4-lane roads driving home that evening, though. High lights or no lights.

Did you have any ideas on how to jury-rig something that would hold the back onto the switch absent those tabs?

Regards,

Bob

Bob, sound like we are in parallel universes. One simple twist from "off/DRL" to "on", and everything went black.
All this driving in the remnants of the hurricane on Sat PM. Luckily it wasn't very dark at the time.

There appeared no good way of securing the assembly, so I ordered a new switch from the dealer in White Plains. $66.00. About the cheapest thing I have ever had to buy for the V..

The switch is currently dangling from its socket, held together by electrical tape so I can drive at night.

Best

Chip
