I just got done replacing my screen and gasket on my transmission. The boys at my local parts shop looked up my Volvo and told me I should be using type F so I did. Since My stick showed over filled when it shouldn't have been I checked the book to see what is up. That is when I discovered I am supposed to have dextron3... It was run for a few minutes.... Should I have it flushed and changed or can I get by with draining the pan and refilling it a couple times in the next month? Thanks, Dave

    it wont hurt to leave the ford in. it MIGHT shift a little harder. dex3 has more silicone in it for smoother shifting. rumor has it that the b and m trickshift fluid is type f dyed blue.

    btw-the old bw 35s and bw 55s-3 speeds-used type f as do all the manuals. good luck, chuck.
