front wheel wiggle test when up 700 1988

There are two bushings and *maybe* your ball joints that need to be handled by a machine shop. I don't fool around with springs at this point in time, so I didn't do the front struts myself.

The tie rods and ends (both can be replaced and both are wear items) are very DIY. The cone bushings are also DIY, but pay attention to the pre-loading comments in the FAQ. While you're at it with these, might as well replace the tie rod bushings.

And if you're having the struts done, I would get new strut bearings done and maybe new strut bellows (just dust covers really to protect the strut shaft and keep the oil away from dust and vice a versa).

Good Luck,
Will
