how do i change my water pump 1998 S90 S90-V90

You don't need to change the timing belt if it is fairy new, but while you are there it would be a good idea to replace it.

If you are changing the timing belt:
>
Move away the cooling fan. Two screws near the top, then lift up and move to the side of the engine.
Remove serpentine belt.
Remove the timing belt cover
Remove two bolts on the right side down behind the crank pulley.
Align the timing marks. Two on top on the cam pulleys with the back timing belt cover notches. One on the crank with a mark on the block. With a flashlight you be able to see a small notch on the crank sprocket to the side near the block. That one you align with the mark on the block. Some cars have a rubber ring on the lowest part bellow the T-belt to hold the belt close to the sprocket during installation. Make sure the new belt goes in between the sprocket and the rubber ring.

If you are not changing the timing belt start here:

Remove the two tensioner's bolts. Best tool is a 10m/m - 12m/m offset wrench. Sears is a good place to find them. These two bolts
torque specs for installation is 25 ft/lb. You will no be able to fit a torque wrench in there so practice somewhere the force you have to apply to reach the spec torque so you can do it by feel with the offset wrench. No big deal. if you are not sure put some thread locker, blue only please, on the bolts. To fit a torque wrench in there you would have to remove the vibration dumper. More work.
Remove the tensioner. Put the tensioner on a vise or a extendable carpenter clamp and compress the tensioner very, very slowly. a quarter turn at the time. When the pressure is eased turn once again. Put a pin through the holes to hold it in place for installation.
Remove the water pump. clean up block surface. Install new pump. Torque to 12 ft/lb. Specs for this call for 15 ft/lb, but I have broken those thin bolts going over 12 ft/lb. Don't take chances. Again blue thread locker helps.
Install the timing belt. Recheck the timing marks.
Install the tensioner. Do not forget the plastic spacer on top of the tensioner. Tighten bolts. Pull the pin.
