Testing an AMM 200 1988

Swapping is good, but you can do a meaningful test on the bench with +12v and a DVM, as follows:

Ground Pin # 1 (black wire) and put +12V on Pin 5 (orange wire). Then read output on Pin # 3 (white/red wire). A good AMM will show at least 1.4V* but 1.5 or more is better. Fanning air in with your hand should raise the output voltage.

* That's based on my limited sampling. I had an 007 putting out 1.4 that would start the engine then die.
