Again the car will only idle a couple seconds 200 1989

Yes, you are correct that the FPR is under no vacuum and a plus pressure. It will increase rail pressure. If the FPR is good. Either way it passes gas to the tank all the time.

I'm after gas to the manifold and the multiple cylinders being filled and locking the motor! Thats is a lot of gas, if we are reading him right.

If you pull out the injectors as a unit with the rail. You can observe leakage with the added pressure won't hurt.

If you just unplug the injectors electrically it won't tell you any thing except you didn't turn them on. With the cold start injector that would help sort it out! But will they be leaking due to debris, after shut off.

If you buzz them (a very short crank) while they are hanging out with paper towels under them. You will see a spray pattern from all. Reposition the towels and wait for drips.

The manuals say put them in jars and measure for quantity of each and then the drips. Thats more technical than we are looking for here.

Paul of Inga, his post was very plausible considering the car had sat a lot like his. I'm stuck on how much gas got into those cylinders? Thats why I asked how much did he crank it, in the start up mode?

I love his way of tackling problems. I can just see this black box wizard guy and with his switch set up whipping out from a trunk!

This appears to be a more common problem than I have ever imagined or have ever had with any of my cars. Then again I don't leave my cars out to weather the elements.

On one of the oldest I have, the paint is in real bad shape, so I'm not Mr. Joe the Perfectionist. I'm not a car fanatic but I like good, dependable things.

Sitting out all the the time. The words "In use or neglect". That can run back and forth, hand in hand.

I have a neighbor who does the same thing to his dogs. They are cared for in their cages but thats where they spend a whole lot of their lives.

Cars, people and animals can have things to go wrong. To me, its about the well being of what they are here for. It is up to those who care to possess things, to develop the skills to do it!

To each his own, in our world of diversity! GO! Learn it ALL! It will keep us busy reading new posts! Plus, maybe a few less head sores?
