Also, if you have a short circuit in the solenoid wire, like its bare somewhere and touching the tranny, it can melt a foil in the relay's circuit board, especially if the circuit is overfused. You'll destroy relays in succession when you hit bumps. Not beyond repair tho - just take it apart like you would to fix the cracked solder joints, after you check out the wiring.
50A relay?? For a 1A solenoid?
Problem is, once you take a look up there above the tranny, you'll want to start making the 242 look as gorgeous as the amazon.
