The so-called "low retail" price is about what I would expect to pay for a near-perfect 1800E, in correct, unmodified condition, with an overdrive transmission. Deduct $1000 or more for an automatic. These prices are probably based on market data from the last couple of years, which, considering today's economic conditions, is very out of date. ESs are usually worth more, but $15K seems way high even for one of those.
