I have a 2003 S40 Volvo, and the driver's side door won't stay open. The piece that would hold the door open cracked and broke (my door was frozed shut, I think, or this piece had broke and the door wouldn't open). I pulled the door open and heard a crack and black plastic pieces were on the ground and flew into my car.
What is the name of the part that keeps the door open and where can I get it? Is it hard to replace?
Every time I open my door now, the door flies all the way open, usually dinging the car next to me!

No one is answering your question because we here in the RWD forum (Rear Wheel Drive) are all stuck back in time with old Volvos. Its like getting a wrong number on the cell phone.
