I just purchased a 1989 740 turbo wagon. I purchased the Chilton service manual 1970-1989. It's fairly nebulous on my car. The haynes for the 700 series go's from 82-89. Is there a better manual that covers the 740 1989 model?

I think you meant the Haynes goes from 82-88?
I use the Haynes for my 89, and supplement with the 700/900FAQ.
I also have found at the library Mitchell manuals, which are very complete and detailed for these years.

Thanks I did mean 82-88. I'll give the Haynes a try.
