Before you mount them make sure there is a "dimple" on the bottom of each caliper half, on each side of the joint seam.

A dimple on the top of the outer half means a mismatch by the rebuilder. We've had several cases here since I noticed it in 2004.

I'm wondering where you were advised to inspect the pistons and seals on a rebuilt. Maybe worth doing, from what you found, but I never saw it recommended anywhere.
