90 240DL Sedan, No start, stalling 200 1990

Just to finish up thread, (I hope).

I checked the voltage at the ECU for the crank sensor, it was only jumping between 4 and 6 volts instead of the minimum 8.

So I ordered a new one and finally got it the other day and installed it today. As you can see the original was in bad shape, however it came out without any trouble and the new one went in just as easy. The trick was having long enough socket extensions.

Thanks to all for your help.
